About us

The original independent businesses established 30 years ago in Sussex and Kent became Claas and Renault dealers in 1991, these businesses merged in 1995 to form Southern Harvesters. The business has grown as a specialist, selling and servicing Claas combines, forage harvesters and green harvest machinery, and the addition more recently of Claas tractors and the Claas Scorpion telehandler. Other suppliers include Simba/Horsch cultivation and drilling machinery, KRM fertiliser spreaders, Gyrax trailers, muckspreaders, toppers/mulchers and feeders.

As farming and contracting operations across the Southeast continue to polarise into even larger units, Southern Harvesters has become the ideal machinery partner for these growing businesses. Many of our Service Engineers, Parts and Sales staff have been with the company from the beginning, generating stability and building a trusting relationship with our customers.

Southern Harvesters offers its customers a complete package of services including sound financial advice, support in times of difficulty, close links with the manufacturers and a Parts system that is the envy of the industry. We have Parts centres based in Kent, West Sussex, Hampshire and Reading stocking collectively over £1.5 million of Parts, and easy access to the £12m of Claas UK Parts stock at Saxham, Suffolk, The well known Harvest Express service offers 24 hour delivery for Parts during the main harvest, providing the best possible customer support at this crucial time.

Our highly trained team of 35 Service Engineers including several Claas Master Technicians and Claas Master Mechanics are well supported by an extensive training program every winter.
